Description

Dorayaki pancake is a traditional japanese dessert consisting of two small, hand-sized pancakes with a sweet filling between them this dessert is a favorite among both children and adults in japan and has a rich history and cultural significance with simple ingredients and a little technique anyone can make these delicious pancakes at home.

Ingredients
  • 2 Eggs
  • 60 g Sugar
  • 20 g Honey
  • 100 g Flour
  • 1 g Baking powder
  • 30 ml Milk
  • 2 tsp Your favorite toppings (such as chocolate frosting or jam)
Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, break the eggs and add the sugar and honey. Whisk it well until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy

  2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl, then mix them well with the egg mixture

  3. Slowly add the milk and vanilla extract, and continue mixing until you obtain a smooth dough

  4. Let the dough rest for about 15 minutes until the flavors blend together

  5. Heat a frying pan over low heat. Pour a small scoop of dough until we get a circular shape the size of a small pancake. With the remaining mixture, repeat this process

  6. Cook the patties on each side for about 1 minute, or until they turn golden brown. Use a spoon to flip them over gently

  7. After the pancakes are cooked, remove them from the pan and let them cool

  8. Transfer to a plate while the pies are still hot, and spread 2 teaspoons of your favorite chocolate frosting or jam on each pie

  9. Leaving a small space from the edge, carefully close the pancakes to form a sandwich while they are still hot until the chocolate cream or jam has melted a little

  10. Enjoy homemade dorayaki pancakes

  2. If you don't have a non-stick pan, you can use a regular pan and grease it with more oil to prevent sticking.
  3. It's important to cook the pancakes over low heat so they don't burn.
  4. For a crispy exterior, use a little bit more oil when cooking the pancakes.
  5. Use a small amount of water to thin down the batter if it's too thick.
