Instructions

For the dough

  1. In a bowl, combine the crushed strawberries, sugar, and wet glutinous rice. Mix them well until everything is nicely incorporated

  2. Once mixed, knead the dough by hand. If you find it a bit sticky, you can add a tablespoon of glutinous rice flour to help with the texture

  3. Shape the dough into a long shape and then cut it into appropriate sizes. Roll each piece into a ball

  4. Now, it's time to boil the dough balls. Bring a pot of water to a boil and carefully drop in the dough balls. Cook them until they float to the surface, then let them boil for another minute

  5. Once cooked, remove the dough balls and immediately place them in a bowl of ice water. This helps to cool them down quickly and prevents sticking

  6. Finally, place the cooled dough balls on a damp cloth, allowing them to cool completely without sticking

For the sauce

  1. In a separate bowl, combine the fresh strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice to make a simple strawberry syrup

  2. Microwave the bowl on high (at 1000 watts) for 30 seconds to soften the strawberries

  3. Take the bowl out and mash the strawberries with a spoon

  4. Microwave the bowl for another 30 seconds to further soften the strawberries

  5. Once you have your strawberry syrup ready, you can now assemble your dessert

  6. Take the pre-soaked skewers and carefully insert them into the cooled dough balls

  7. Drizzle the strawberry syrup over the skewered dough balls, and there you have it—a delightful strawberry treat to enjoy

  8. I hope you find this recipe easy to follow, and may your strawberry dessert turn out delectably delicious
