  1. Melt the butter and let it cool

  2. In a bowl, mix the egg yolks and sugar by hand. Add liquid cream and melted butter. Mix well

  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Mix with wet ingredients. Sit aside

  4. When firm peaks form, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt. Gently fold them into the mixture

  5. Divide the dough into thirds. Add cocoa powder to one-third and vanilla extract to the remaining two-thirds. Mix gently

  6. Grease a silicone baking tray (40 cm x 30 cm) with butter or oil

  7. Make a small baking tray out of parchment paper, the same width as the plate, for one-third of the dough

  8. Pour the cocoa mixture into the small tray and the vanilla mixture into the large tray

  9. Bake in the oven at 180°C for approximately 9 minutes

Ganache

  1. Heat the cream until boiling. Add the chocolate pieces, melt them, then add the butter

  2. Pour the ganache into a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for 40 minutes

  3. Cut the cooled sponge cake into equal-sized slices

  4. Spread half the amount of ganache on the first vanilla layer, and the rest on the cocoa layer, then put the vanilla layer on top

  5. Place it in the refrigerator for an hour until the ganache hardens

Decor

  1. Gradually mix the powdered sugar and milk until we have a somewhat thick mixture

  2. Spread the white frosting thinly over the cake, then sprinkle it with chocolate chips

  3. Trim the edges of the ganache for a clean finish
